Film producer Renée Tab is an Emmy, Golden Globe, and PGA Award-nominated producer, financier, and Founder of Sentient Entertainment. Over a career spanning more than three decades, she has championed bold filmmakers and commercially ambitious storytelling, producing prestige feature films and premium television while structuring complex international financing and global production partnerships. Throughout her career, Tab has collaborated with many of the world's most celebrated filmmakers, including David Cronenberg, Guillermo del Toro, Danny Boyle, Darren Aronofsky, William Friedkin, Jean-Marc Vallée, Pierre Morel, Fatih Akin, and Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Ramin Bahrani. Her work has been defined by championing distinctive directorial voices across prestige dramas, elevated genre films, and internationally financed independent productions. Tab is currently in post-production on Vegas: A Love Story, directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Ramin Bahrani, starring Maika Monroe, Brandon Sklenar, Michael Shannon, and Judy Greer. She is also producing Last Meals, directed by Bahrani and written by Justin Piasecki, starring Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, and Tessa Thompson, with HanWay Films handling international sales. Together, these films represent the next chapter of Sentient Entertainment's slate of prestige, filmmaker-driven productions. Her producing career has been anchored by long-standing collaborations with David Cronenberg, including Cosmopolis, starring Robert Pattinson, and Maps to the Stars, starring Julianne Moore, Mia Wasikowska, John Cusack, Robert Pattinson, and Sarah Gadon. Maps to the Stars premiered in competition at the Cannes Film Festival, where Julianne Moore received the Best Actress Award, further cementing Tab's reputation for producing internationally acclaimed auteur-driven cinema. Tab also conceived and developed the acclaimed gender-swapped reimagining of Dead Ringers for Amazon and Annapurna, starring Rachel Weisz, reimagining Cronenberg's cult classic for a new generation. Her producing and executive producing credits include Sound of Freedom, one of the highest-grossing independent films in recent history with more than $250 million in worldwide box office. Tab also produced Peppermint, starring Jennifer Garner, and Freelance starring John Cena & Alison Brie and Canary Black, both directed by longtime collaborator Pierre Morel, with whom she continues to develop an expanding slate of international action features. She also received Emmy, Golden Globe, and PGA Award nominations for FX's critically acclaimed limited series Feud: Bette and Joan, starring Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon. Tab's current slate also includes The Good Samaritan, directed by Pierre Morel and starring Daisy Ridley, Josh Duhamel, and Sharlto Copley, as well as The Others, which Sentient Entertainment is independently producing following its development at Universal Pictures. She also has two more feature films in post-production: Alphas and Princess, starring Lucy Hale. Since founding Sentient Entertainment, Tab has specialized in producing sophisticated independent films while structuring international co-productions, tax incentive strategies, and innovative financing structures that enable ambitious filmmaker-driven projects to reach audiences worldwide. Prior to founding Sentient Entertainment, Tab spent more than a decade as a Motion Picture Literary Agent at International Creative Management (ICM), where she packaged numerous acclaimed studio and independent films, including David Cronenberg's A History of Violence and Eastern Promises, which earned Viggo Mortensen an Academy Award nomination; Hustle & Flow, which garnered Terrence Howard an Academy Award nomination; and Pierre Morel's international blockbuster Taken, launching a creative partnership that continues today. A Los Angeles native and proud Iranian American, Tab holds dual degrees in Marketing and Spanish from Pepperdine University, including studies in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Florence, Italy. She serves on the Board of the Warrior of Light Foundation, supporting its partnership with City of Hope to advance cancer research, patient care, fundraising initiatives, and cancer awareness.
